• Skillset

  Alia has come a long way from wanting to be a Raptor Knight as a child. She's not the most noble or professional fighter, but what skillset she does have isn't something to sneeze at.
  
  Size - Alia has a clear natural advantage: She's far larger than most furres. She will use this size to her advantage, whether it be for intimidation or for fighting. Momentum is her friend, and once she gets charging there's little that can endure it.
  
  Shieldbashing - She has a tendency to use her shield for both offensive and defensive purposes. Not wanting to sacrifice protection in a fight, she conditioned herself to be able to use her wooden shield as a blunt object, giving her an even greater advantage should she be able to act off of a deflection.
  
  Charge! - Combine size and shield together and you have a medieval pain train. She can easily force her way through a group and scatter multiple opponents, though it's even more devastating to run over lone targets. On the ground and stunned is the worst place to be where all it will take is a good stomp to the skull.
  
  Swordplay - Alia is not as proficient with hand-held weapons as she should be, however recognizes the necessity. The heavy short sword at her hip is more of a secondary weapon, designed for chopping and dismembering rather than slicing and stabbing.
  
  Handy - Growing up with five older brothers teaches one how to use their hands very quickly. While not an expert by any means, when robbed for her shield, sword, or both, she'll resort to grappling, turning a ground-and-pound into a very messy, lethal affair.

• So what else?

  Yeah yeah, big tough mercenary, rah rah rah. What else?
  
  Alia is honest, almost to a fault. She can come off as blunt with the extent she takes it. It may not earn her a lot of friends, but it helps her sleep at night.
  
  A strong believer in the ideals of the Prime of Canines, Reegarr, she'll often take the side of honor and justice. Odd, especially for a mercenary, but she does aspire to be more. She just has to become more.
  
  She's a determined sort, always eager to better or prove herself. As a mercenary she's VERY green, but she has to put food in front of her somehow. Of course, she won't scoff at offers for work. She's used to the usual "Well, I don't need anyone dead or anything guarded, but can you give me a hand carrying this?" from those who have disposable income. A workaholic if there ever was one.
  
  Socially, she's very open and will often go looking for conversation. Those who she does attach herself to will find her incredibly loyal, helpful and considerate. A friend is hard to come by, it's best to hold onto them.

• Strengths

  Big - Her natural size is often enough of a showstopper. With someone like her looming over you, it's tough to remember what you were bickering and about to come to blows with the other furre over in the first place. Aside from the intimidation factor, she's a clear powerhouse fighter, making her dangerous in head-on confrontation.
  
  Calm - Her spirit animal is a rock. Calm is all you can be when others depend on you, and she knows this better than anyone. There's no sense in adding to more chaos by flying off the handle, and is able to approach stressful situations with a focused mind and a clear plan.
  
  Not picky - She'll work doing just about anything so long as it's not hurting someone who doesn't deserve it. She'll eat just about anything so long as it won't kill her. She'll sleep just about anywhere, too. Hello cobblestone road.

• Weaknesses

  Big - Big body, big shield, big appetite, big big big big big big big. She doesn't do well in confined spaces, mostly because she just doesn't fit, or has trouble being able to maneuver. Her size also doesn't do her any favors in regards to speed. While she can easily knock someone's block off their shoulders, she can't do that if they can run laps around her by the time she gets her shield up. She can deal with an agile customer, but not so much when their fighting style revolves around speed.
  
  Illiterate - Growing up with the family she did, doing the work that she did, she never learned. Alia can't read, and in general isn't very scholarly. Of course, if she's ever going to be a Raptor Knight she'll probably have to learn.
  
  Poor - She ain't got no money, and she's not very frugal with it when she does get it. Whenever she's paid, it's often spent that day, be it on food, a place to sleep, equipment, etc.

• Description

  Aren't you a little fuzzy for a mercenary? Fuzzy or not, the large woman was well built for her choses path. Her armor was telling, however. Sackcloth trousers, worn iron chain mail and faded leather cuirass and boots. She hadn't been doing this long. A heavy short sword rested at her hip, but it paled to the massive wooden shield on her back. Gauntlets covered her paws, though her bare grip may not be much more inviting. A great strength of spirit was carried with her, aspiring to be great... But greatness isn't achieved painlessly.
